To change the legal status of Norden Cricket Club from ‘Unincorporated Association’ to ‘Company Limited By Guarantee/Community Interest Company’ (CLG/CIC)
The cricket committee of NCC has made the decision not to renew Jake Sandham’s contract as professional for 2021.
Jake was with the club in 2018, 2019, and the shortened 2020 season.
In that time he scored 1,086 runs with a best of 120 not out, and took 101 wickets with a best of 6-42.
He was also instrumental in Norden winning the Lancashire knockout in 2019 when he showcased his ability by taking three for nine as Darwen were dismissed for 55.
The club would like to place on record its gratitude to Jake for his level of performance, effort, and professionalism during his time with Norden.

Dexter Fitton has decided to stand down as Norden cricket chairman and as a player.
Dexter had been in the game since the early 1980s when his talents as a Rochdale amateur caught the eye of Lancashire County.
Following a five-year spell with the County he served as professional for Littleborough and Milnrow.
He has also been paid man at Stockport and Radcliffe and served as deputy professional for many clubs. There was also a stint with a club in New Zealand.
Dexter first joined Norden as junior coach, and he joined as a player in 2009.
In that 2009 season Stags finished runners-up to Monton and Weaste on a fourth countback following a tie on points and overall wins.
Since then Stags have been league champions four times, Wood Cup winners twice and finalists on another occasion, Tom Hardman T20 winners, North West T20 champions, and Lancashire Cup finalists twice (winners in 2019).
In the same spell the Club’s second team were league champions twice and Burton Cup winners, and the third team won honours in the Halifax Sunday League. There was also success for the ladies’ softball team.
Off-field Dexter helped to oversee the changes from Central Lancashire League to Pennine League to Lancashire League.
He now plans to just sit back and watch cricket.

STAGS have lost the services of Simon Wystawnoha who has accepted a job in the Middle East.
Simon took over captaincy of the third team at a time of transition, with the team moving from the Halifax Sunday League into the Lancashire League 3rd teams division.
It was a tough ask going into the unknown, but Simon led the team superbly to a 7th overall finish in the table and a place in what would have been the 3rd teams top division this season.
Following a shortened 2020 campaign many tributes were paid to Simon from players, parents of junior players, and club officials.
Simon said: “It’s been a pleasure to run the team and to make great friendships.
“I am extra proud of the number of players who have played in the third team in the last two years and are now playing, or have played, in the first team.
“I hope whoever takes over running the side continues to develop the young players and continues to play good tough cricket.
“I am sure next season will be a good one for the team as young players mature and other players return.”
