A fine opening spell from the Norden professional Jermaine Blackwood had Ramsbottom reduced to 68-3, but things could have been much better if the Stags had held their catches. The middle order,Caton (40) and Olpin (18), batted well with opener Parton (68), before Balckwoods re-introduction alongside Jack Taylor saw a flurry of wickets. No.10 Dack scored an impressive 24* as Rammy finished on 227-9 from their 50 overs, more than ably assisted by 24 wides from the home bowlers. Blackwood finished with an impressive 6-52 from his 15.
Things started brightly with the bat as Humphreys (43) and Jack taylor (23) added 73 for the first wicket, but when Humphreys was trapped LBW by Von Berg an almighty collapsed followed as we lost 8 wickets for just 22 runs. Von Berg was bamboozling the Norden batters on his way to 6-23, ably assisted by Burdaky 4-79. The only late order resistance was shown by Alex Willis (22*) and young Stan Kearns (16) as the Stags limped to 136 all out.
