Thirds overcome the odds

STAGS thirds made it two in two when they defeated Clitheroe fourth in an away match on Saturday.
It didn’t look too good for Stags who could field only nine players due to a combination of events outside the club’s control.
They took first knock and managed to reach 153.
Thomas Hurst scored 35 and Waqar Qayum scored a quick 32.
Matt Farrand chipped in with 22, and Mo Waheed hit 20.
Clitheroe replied with an all out 83.
Mo Waheed took three for 17 and Jozef Gordon two for six off seven overs – five of them maidens.
